Our virtual Charlotte Mason Courses

are created for both veteran homeschoolers and those who are home educating

for the first time.

No matter how long you've been on this journey, the BROAD feast that Miss Mason recommends is unique, enticing and an indispensable aspect of her method...but it can also be overwhelming.

As homeschoolers, we get busy - life happens - and all of the sudden we realize that it's been 3 weeks since we picked up this subject!

We will be the first to say that NOTHING compares to in-person classes.

Miss Mason's method is, at it's heart a relationship, which is difficult to build over a screen.

We firmly believe that face to face lessons should take priority in your children's learning.

However, we also know that this isn't always possible.

And that's why we created Heritage Online Courses.

Don't let subjects fall by the way if they're too intimidating...

you run out of time...you feel ill prepared...you can't afford the book...

or maybe as a homeschooler, you still need to work while schooling your child.

If you just need some help with a few subjects

and you don't want to abandon Miss Mason's method,

then we're here for your family.

Let us serve some of Charlotte Mason feast for you.

Can I use a course for a different Form than what is

recommended?

Absolutely!  The forms that we have listed for each course are just recommendations, based on the course level and how Miss Mason typically scheduled these books.  However, YOU know your child and we invite you to use these courses in any way you choose!

What are

the "Forms"?

The Forms are the various grades that Miss Mason grouped together in her Programs.

There are several potential groupings that we historically see her schools using, but for our purposes, we have adopted the following grouping:

Form 1 - grades 1-3

Form 2 - Grades 4-6

Form 3 - Grades 7-8

Form 4 - Grade 9

Form 5 - Grade 10-11

Form 6 - Grade 12

Do you issue grades?

Track 1 Courses

We do not offer grades for this Track.

Track 2-4 Courses

Grades are offered for Form 4-6 students (grades 9-12) who are enrolled in Tracks 2-4.  Grades are based off of student narrations and final exams and are a recommendation from our program.  As the primary educator, YOU have the final say, based on our recommendation, on what grade you record in their transcript.

All other Tracks and grades will receive mid-term assessments and final exam assessments.

Can I use

one course

for multiple

children?

YES! Please do!

Each time you enroll in a Track 1 or 2 class, you have ONE year (365 days) from the date of enrollment to access your account.

During that time, you may use the content for all of your children, but please keep in mind that courses that include direct access with a Heritage Teacher (Tracks 2-4) are for ONE student.  Heritage Teachers will only accept and assess narrations from one student in your family

How many times per week do the classes meet?

Generally speaking, the subjects that we offer only need to be completed ONCE each week, per Miss Mason's Programmes. However, there may be additional readings assigned in the older Forms.

Check each Course Description for the recommended schedule.

Track 1 Courses

may be used on your own, and you can schedule them as you would like during your week.

Track 2 Courses

These may also be watched at your leisure.  However, at enrollment you will also receive a course syllabus and narrations must be submitted no later than each Friday of the term by 1pm EST.

Track 3&4 Courses

These are offered based on the teacher's availability.  Please check the course descriptions for class time options.

How long do my children have to complete a course?

Track 1 Courses

You will have access to these videos for 1 year from the date of purchase.

Track 2-4 Courses

These courses are interactive with our teachers and have a set calendar and syllabus.  Please see the Course pages for the current year's class schedule.

How long is each class?

Our classes follow Miss Mason's recommended times table for lesson length.

Generally speaking, that means that Form 1 classes average 15 minutes in length to allow time for students to complete their oral narrations after each lesson.

Forms 2 and up average 20-25 minutes to allow students time to complete and submit their written narrations at the end of each lesson.

What is your

refund policy?

Our classes follow Miss Mason's recommended times table for lesson length.

Forms 2 and up average 20-25 minutes to allow students time to complete and submit their written narrations at the end of each lesson.

What is your

refund policy?

I love the idea, but I don't want my kids in front of a screen all day.

We agree!

Face to face classes are ALWAYS the optimal approach

to homeschooling in general.

However, that's not always possible, so if your student is taking our courses and you would prefer to limit their "screen time", simply turn the screen over and have them listen to the lesson instead of watching it.
